Inclement Weather Policy

There may be times when the weather makes it difficult for church activities take place as scheduled. To help communicate closings due to weather, FPCMA as adopted the following policy:
  • All decisions concerning the cancellation of Sunday morning and evening activities will be made by the Pastor and Clerk of Session
  • During the week, if the Mount Airy City Schools are closed due to inclement weather, any church activities scheduled for that afternoon or evening will be cancelled.
  • The First Steps preschool program will follow the Mount Airy City Schools inclement weather policy.
A notification of all cancelled church functions will be shared with WXII Channel 12 and the church's Facebook page as soon as possible.
