Missions

Our members are always looking for ways to serve those around us. Here are some of the opportunities to serve:
  • Friends Feeding Friends - On the 1st and 2nd Thursdays, volunteers help to serve a hot meal to friends and neighbors at First Baptist Church. On 2nd Thursdays, volunteers also provide desserts for the meal.
  • Service Saturdays - Throughout the year, we partner with a local organization to help those in need. Past partnerships include Yokefellow Food Ministry, Shepherd's House, Habitat for Humanity, and Children's Center of Surry.
  • Blood Drives - We partner with the American Red Cross to host a blood drive.
  • Week-long and weekend adult and youth mission trips
  • Thanksgiving food boxes for families in need
  • Offering of Hope and Hunger - On the first Sunday of the month, we collect a loose change offering that helps fund local food pantries. In addition, throughout the month we collect non-perishable food items for Yokefellow, our local food pantry.
