Project Name: Room In the Inn: Winter Shelter
Description:
Through the power of love and unity, “Room In the Inn” collectively can provide the simple act of respectful hospitality by providing warm shelter that offers hope to those struggling on the edge of society, especially during the coldest months of the year.
Mission: to provide a warm, safe, dignified shelter for those presenting themselves as needing warm shelter and willing to abide organizational guidelines on the nights the shelter is in operation.
Estimated operational dates: January 1 – February 29 (contingency plans will be made for any episodic severe weather occurring in March)
Location: First Presbyterian Church, 326 S. Main Street, Mount Airy, NC
Males and Females/ Minors provided in separate sleeping/restroom areas.
Need: Volunteers to help staff, feed and perform other duties to complete the identified mission, provide basic materials for sleeping and cleaning.

Training: Volunteer Orientation will be held approximately by December 15 for volunteers signed up to serve in January; Orientation repeated by January 15 for any new volunteers serving in February.
